Final Task Final

This is our final project. When we first started I thought filming was a relatively simple and quick process. Little did I know, I was completely wrong. The hardest part was easily the editing process in my opinion. The effects at the end, were very tedious to do, but i ended off pulling it off. Several things changed from what we planned. We ended up using a couple different lines than we actually did. We also switched up some camera angles from what we had originally written down. Anyways, I can't wait to show it off!

Finally, our project is done. After about 2 months of hard work, we have finished. First we did lots of research about several different things involving our film. We researched genres, conventions, title sequences and more. Then we did all the planning. We made a storyboard, script, and even our own safety protocols. After that, we got to filming. After a cancelled filming day and 2 days of filming we had all the clips we needed to put together the first 2 minutes of a movie. Then came the editing and review process. After looking over our film a countless number of times and even having other people review it, we made adjustments we thought would improve the quality of our film. And just like that, here we are. It's really fascinating seeing how much dedication and time you have to put in just to make a 2 minute short film. Now I wonder how much dedication goes into a blockbuster movie. Overall, I really learned a lot and I can't wait to show off our film!

Production Blog: Review

Last time we made some extra changes based on the feedback on others. Today we looked to fixed anything else we could. After looking over the film several times, we decided to change the font for our title sequence. We wanted a font that matched the futuristic and technical theme of the film. Before, we just had a pretty basic font. Another thing we did after discussing our background music was explored for better royalty free music to use. I'm pretty bummed out that the production companies we emailed asking for the rights to use their songs never got back to us. We still made the best of our options and we found better background music to use that I really liked. Overall, we are getting really close to finishing up. I really like how things are going and so does my group.

Film Review Changes Blog

Last time, each of us showed our film to other and got critical feedback. Once we got the feedback, we came together and discussed what else we could change. Today we went more in depth with the feedback we got. Some of the other feedback we got was about audio quality, lighting, and sound effects. First thing I did was go over the lighting. In some scenes the picture was a little dark so I did my best to light things up. After that, I looked through the film and evened out the audio a bit because some scenes were a little louder than others. Another thing I did with the audio was try and eliminate any echoing. One of our scenes was in a big and open living room. This made the audio quality worst and made it sound unprofessional. I used my editing software to try and filter out any of those echo like sounds. I think we are getting closer and closer to finishing everyday and its exciting seeing everything come together.

Last time we focused on the audio in our film. Today we did our film review. Each member in the group was required to send our film to one person they know. We wanted to get very honest feedback so we told the people we sent our films to to be brutally honest. Then after we got all our feedback, we discussed together the things that should be changed in our film. I decided to send the film to my uncle. My uncle gave both positives and negatives. On the positive side, he said he found our plot very interesting and creative. He said that it kept him entertained. Another good thing he said was that he thought that we utilized the angles very well in the film. He said the good use of angles made it seem professional. On the downside, he said the lighting in some shots was poor and it was too dark. This is partly my fault due to the fact that I am the cameraman as i could've used certain camera settings to lighten up the shots. Another thing he said was that the background music didn&#
