Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   Physical activity and hard effort are promoted by my product. Because it is intended to be used before, during, or after physical activity, my product promotes physical activity. My product promotes hard work because advertising with the product depict athletes working really hard to reach their goals while still drinking Gatorade. The societal message conveyed by my product is that perseverance pays rewards.     2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? My product keeps audiences engaged by hooking them early and keeping them entertained. This was accomplished by the early introduction of the product as well as the use of music. Furthermore, the link between sports and Gatorade engages the viewer right away by demonstrating the product's purpose. Also, because sports

Final Commercial

We finished our commercial and i am very proud of my group. We all did our roles and worked together good. We all were also satisfied with the roles we played. I think zane was the most qualified to act out of our group. I think luke did a great job editing it and had a creative and different song choice that i really liked. I also enjoyed my role of cameraman and using the cool features my camera has. My favorite part was filming the scene where zane is running up to kick the ball. I had to run up adjacently with him and keep the camera low and still. It was a challenge but it was also fun. Overall, I enjoyed working with my group and I think we did a great job.

Today we did most of the finalizing of the commercial. We added some music to our commercial. Music puts emotion and intensity into our commercial. We also added filters and effects to the commercial to bring it out. Overall, I really liked working with my group. We all efficiently played our roles and i think our commercial came out nicely. Since my group was all friends we trusted each other and knew we can count on each other to do our roles.

Last class we finalized the clips we needed for our commercial.  Today we started the editing process. Luke was the main editor. Luke put together the clips. Luke had to put the clips in the specific order. The clips were all over the place. This was because we had to film them out of order because i forgot the ball one day. After luke put the clips into order, we started adding transitions to the clips. We aimed for more direct transitions instead of fancy, extra transitions. We did this because we wanted to show a intense and serious tone in the commercial. Next class we are going to add effects and music. We should add effects that focus on the scene to make the quality nice. We arent sure what song we are going to use. We could also use no song and only use sound effects. But if we use a song it will show the hard work that is being put in the commercial.

Today Me and my group filmed again. We basically finished all the filming we had to do. Now we have to put the clips together and edit and fix the audio. Today, we filmed the clips that required the football. We would have done everything in order but I forgot the football on the first filming day. Because of this, on the first day we only filmed clips that don't require the football. Today, our props were a football and a kicking stand. I had to bring the blue athletic shirt for zane that we used in our last filming too. The first clip that was filmed was zane starting his run up to kick the ball. It was filmed from the angle showing zanes frontside and the football. Then we filmed another angle of him running up and kicking the ball. This angle was a close up near the ground showing zanes legs run up and kick the ball. For this I had to run with zane with the camera low to the ground. This took several tries because i had to run with zane with the camera in my hand. This caused
