 We will be using the Chiller font in our opening scene as it goes with our theme of sci-fi. It looks something like this. We will be using the colors black and red for our titles throughout the opening scene depending on whether the background is lighter or darker at certain parts. This will set the mood of the beginning of the movie giving off spooky and ominous vibes. The size of the font will be big enough to fill most of the screen but not too big that it will completely cover what is going on behind. The purpose is to show the audience who were involved in the making of our film without drawing too much attention away from what is going on behind. Our working title is Hide and Seek although it may change in the future. The titles will enter and leave the screen through simple animations that also add to the spookiness of the opening scene. Each title will be on screen for around 3 seconds to give the audience enough time to read it but also save time for more important parts of o

 Schedule 3/5-3/6 We will start filming our final task at Lukes house. We will film both scenes 1 and 2 during this weekend 3/12-3/13 We will film the final scene and add any finishing touches involving filming or fix anything we wanted to change from the previous scenes. 3/20-4/13 This is when the editing process we start. We have to edit transitions, title designs, audio, cuts, etc. After that we will include pier review.  Location We will be filming in luke's living room and bed room. It shows Warner Bros productions first. Next it displays village road show pictures. After the production companies are shown, it then displays the name of the movie and rolls into the film.   What connotations do the images carry? (How do they make you feel)   The images make you feel curious and give off a very futuristic vibe and feeling. They are dark and have many numbers moving very rapidly as if a computer script is running giving that futuristic feel.   How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?   The title sequence uses common connotations associated with sci-fi movies.  The movie that I watched was “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” it is in the Sci-fi genre. During the opening scene, all the people who helped with the production of the movie were included. In this is the casting designers, make-up artist, etc. The way these titles were printed on the opening scene was very subtle. This was good because I saw them, but they did not take my attention away from the background. There were a few different images in the opening scene. These images are not still but slightly moving. These photos are of all planets. This entices me to want to watch the whole movie. The images were all in space and had yellow writing in the background explain. This writing showed the past. As if it is setting up the movie by explaining the devastating things that have happened in the past. This is done extremely well as the images flip from one to one. It helps establish a sci-fi feeling by including objects that are not normal to Earth. This includes extra-terrestrials, and other c

These titles were Columbia Pictures, Sony, and P+M Image Nation. The movie opens by introducing all of the producing companies that were involved with the creation of this film 2.  There are two sites that I will use to research title design. The first website I will be using is www.artofthetitle.com. When you first open the website it brings you to the homepage. The homepage has a search bar and some search filters in the top right. This helps you search through the thousands of pieces of content on their website. It also has a few interesting links with images that you can click on. These links then bring you to a seperate page with information. You can find title sequences very easily on this website. The title sequences are easy to digest and all the information is given to you neatly. I like this website overall. The second website I will be reviewing is www.watchthetitles.com. When you first open the page it brings you to a home page with many features like the other website. There is a drop down bar you can click with many search features. There is a search bar as long as multiple links you can click that will bring you to another page with information. T

  Men in Black   Common CAMS:   Men in Black includes a lot of establishing shots as well as tracking shots. These shots help progress the movie by showing the surroundings and world that the movie is filmed in showing many futuristic elements.   Common CLAMPS:   In Men in Black, costumes are a big part of the movie. All the good guy's wear suits while all the aliens are generated through animation or makeup is used to make people look like aliens or not from this world. Bright flashing lights are also a quite common theme throughout the movie as it gives the futuristic feel that the movie is aiming for.   Common Sounds:   Most of the sounds in this movie can be heard through high tech beeping noises as well as random alien noises that are used to show that the aliens being shown are unearthly and from another planet. The beeping for example is used when the Men in Black use special devices to erase the memory of people, which gives the futuristic feel of sci-fi.   Common Editing

 Common Camera Angles Some common camera angles in Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith are Establishing Shots, Medium Shots, Tracking Shots, Hip Level Shots, Wide Angle Shot, and Eye Level Shots. Common Mis-En-Scene Some common Mis-En Scene such as props and setting in Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith are lasers, holograms, spaceships, robots, technology, and space and different planets. Common Sound Some common sound in Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith are beeping noises, high pitched "laser" noises and many digital type noises. Common Editing Some common editing aspects used in Star Wars:Revenge of the Sith is a lot of CGI, jumping from scene to scene using transitions, they also use a lot of panning and intense music during battling scenes. Some aspects I would like to use are the robots, holograms, technology, spaceship setting, and the beeping noises that are commonly used in sci-fi.  Passenger Common CAMS in the movie: Passenger includes lots of two-shots as well as over the head shot. These shots help the movie by moving it along as well as showing their surroundings. Even though at some points the image is focused on the actors, a clear glimpse of the background shows how futuristic it is. This helps appeal to the audience and create a liking for Sci-fi fans. Common CLAMPS in the movie: Uniforms in the movie stay consistent. They are long sleeved and long pants that are light grey. Grey and white 100% have future feels and help the movie add to the Sci-fi part. If a small detail like the costumes being a distinct color, I think that would not help the movie, but hinder it.  After completing research for 3 different genres, we had all the information we needed to decide which one we would be using. This decision was not a simple one since this would be a very crucial choice for the entirety of the film. Therefore, we decided on making a film on Sci-fi. Sci-fi not only is enjoyable to watch, but also has endless outcomes. For other genres such as horror, there is a very well-known plot that every movie covers. The main character gets chased by the antagonist and eventually survives and kills it. Sci-fi allows us to be unique and creative and truly create an original film. Furthermore, having no boundaries. was extremely important to us. Additionally sci-fi is straight forward to film. The camera angles are generic with occasional overhead shots to show the landscape. In most Sci-fi films they show the setting multiple times as it plays key factors later. We think Sci-fi is going to be the focus of the film but will try and add comedy and jokes. Having thes
