AICE Media Studies

 Today was our first day of filming. I forgot to bring our main prop to school. Our main prop was a football. The only other main prop we had was a gatorade bottle which luke remembered to bring. Since we didnt have the football today, we only filmed the shots that dont require a football. I also brought a athletic shirt for Zane to wear during the film. While we worked, I was mainly the cameraman. Luke was mainly the director. Zane was the actor. We went our to our schools football field to film the shots. We used water to spray zane to make him look sweaty and hard at work. The water was basically our makeup aspect to the film. We used my phone to film the shots. The first one was a close up shoot right next to the grass. It was zane walking up and putting the gatorade bottle down. We filmed another shot of Zane intensely staring down the field goal post and the camera started close behind his head and it went backwards and zoomed out to show the field goal post.   First Scene-   In the first scene, the camera will be focused on the football field and the actor will walk into the frame. He will be walking in with a bottle of Gatorade and set it down on the field. He will be preparing to kick a field goal and a football will be placed around the center of the field. He will walk up to the ball and be looking towards the goal posts.    Second Scene-   The camera will now go to the back of the actor and the actor will step back from the ball preparing to kick. This scene will also take place on the football field.   Third Scene-   In this scene, the camera will move to the front of the actor and focus on his upper body and face. The actor will check the wind and line himself up for the kick. He will lick his fingers and stick them up in the air to check the direction of the wind.   Fourth scene-    In this scene, the actor runs up to the ball and kicks it. The camera will be focused on the ball and the kick and will likely be placed to the left of

 My group and I are creating a Gatorade commercial which is why our main prop will be Gatorade. We will also be using other props like a football. In our commercial we will most likely be using one or two of our group mates as actors. Our actors will be wearing athletic clothes such as athletic shoes or cleats. They would also most likely wear some kind of athletic shirt or sports uniform as well as athletic pants. We might have our actors wear other types of sports apparels such as headbands or towels. Schedule: -On 9/23/21 our group will research and begin to plan for our commercial as well as establish a back up plan -On 9/27/21 our group will begin to settle on a final idea and begin to settle on location, costume, and props to use -On 9/29/21 our group will create the storyboard for our commercial -On 10/1/21 through 10/5/21 we will be filming our commercial and getting the necessary shots -On 10/7/21 through 10/11/21 we will edit and finalize our project and prepare it for submis

 Research Blog My group is doing a Gatorade. We chose this because we wanted to involve sports into our commercial. In Gatorade commercials you usually see athletes drinking gatorade to help enhance their ability to play well. The athletes in the commercials wear athletic attire like clothes you would wear when you are working out. Some call it dry-fit material. Props include workout tools like weights, dumbbells, bars, workout machines, etc. They also include sports equipment like baseball bats, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, basketball hoops, etc. They also use of course the Gatorade product they are advertising. The actors are usually very sweaty, in good shape, and intensely working out or training. The actors are also usually famous athletes. They usually show to athletes refueling and drinking gatorade during their workout The commercials use intense camera angles to show the athletes/ actors working very hard. They also use fast paced music to go with the fast paced work

 My group mates are Zane Knapp and Luke Hamill. They are both very good friends of mine. I have known both of them for a pretty long time. I think we can be productive and efficient as a group. I think I can be a solid story planner and camera man. I always come up with clever and smart ideas involving creative assignments. I am not really that good behind a camera. Zane is very expressive and fun. I met Zane is 2nd grade through football. I think he will do best when it comes too acting. He also has family who are experienced in acting. He enjoys making funny videos and being behind a camera. Next is Luke. I've known Luke since middle school. I met him through one of my friends. Luke has tons of random props and costumes that can be viable. Luke will most likely be the camera man as that is something he is good at. Luke is also a good drawer and could draw the storyboard. When we all work together i think we can make very good films. Overall i think we will work great together.

     Hello I'm Cayden McTighe. I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. I have a 22 year-old brother and a 18 year-old sister. My brother goes to a small college in New York and my sister will be attending college soon. I also have family scattered across the country. I play football for the Fort Lauderdale JV team. I am the starting quarterback. I been to many different football camps in the past couple years. One year I went to the Miami Dolphins academy camp and my team won the whole tournament. I choose to be in AICE Media Studies because my sister said it was a very fun and interesting class. I enjoy playing basketball, football, and video games in my free time.
