  Men in Black   Common CAMS:   Men in Black includes a lot of establishing shots as well as tracking shots. These shots help progress the movie by showing the surroundings and world that the movie is filmed in showing many futuristic elements.   Common CLAMPS:   In Men in Black, costumes are a big part of the movie. All the good guy's wear suits while all the aliens are generated through animation or makeup is used to make people look like aliens or not from this world. Bright flashing lights are also a quite common theme throughout the movie as it gives the futuristic feel that the movie is aiming for.   Common Sounds:   Most of the sounds in this movie can be heard through high tech beeping noises as well as random alien noises that are used to show that the aliens being shown are unearthly and from another planet. Genre Decision Blog

 After completing research for 3 different genres, we had all the information we needed to decide which one we would be using. This decision was not a simple one since this would be a very crucial choice for the entirety of the film. Therefore, we decided on making a film on Sci-fi. Sci-fi not only is enjoyable to watch, but also has endless outcomes. For other genres such as horror, there is a very well-known plot that every movie covers. The main character gets chased by the antagonist and eventually survives and kills it. Sci-fi allows us to be unique and creative and truly create an original film. Furthermore, having no boundaries. was extremely important to us. Additionally sci-fi is straight forward to film. The camera angles are generic with occasional overhead shots to show the landscape.  Common camera angles and shots in Sci-Fi: Medium long shot, medium shot, close up, extreme close up, wide angle, tracking angle, and high angle Common Mis-En-Scene in Sci-Fi: Set in space, high tech computers, use of futuristic props, use of violent actions and gore including makeup, futuristic costumes, and strange alienist bodily movements. Common edits in Sci-Fi: Use of VFX, increase of shutter speed, cool color tones, jump cuts and cross cuts Common sounds used in Sci-Fi: Futuristic noises, lightsaber noises, strange alien noises, loud mechanical noises, and spaceship sounds. Some common films in the Sci-Fi genre include: The Matrix, Star Wars, Men in Black, Gaurdians of the Galaxy, and Star Trek. Some aspects of this genre that I like and would use are the use of futuristic looking props as I think it would look cool as well as advance and make our story a bit more interesting.
